HOME
Back to Bible Studies Menu

The Bible both the Old and New Testament is basic for all of the Christian Beliefs and Doctrine. In understanding the Bible God's word certain rules are used. The first use of the term or picture. Is it explain in this use?

First uses to last uses Generally are the same. If not the Word
of God usually tells us so. The beauty of the Bible is
that from the first verse of Genesis to the last verse of
Revelation, it carries the same theme redemption.
Second go to the original words in Hebrew, Arabic, Or Greek.
Look at their meaning at the time of the writings. Word
          meanings change over time.
    Third they wrote, men of old, God breathed; 2 Peter 1:21;
2 Tim 3:16-17, in some of the books like revelation.
They were told to write down what they saw Rev 1:7.
          In their words.
Fourth what was the manners and customs of the time.
God's design was to use the Customs of the peiod od time
He had the writers Pen his revelation of Jesus Christ
to the world. By doing this God Made his word
           understandable.
Fifth  to whom were God having the authors write to and at what
           time in history.
Sixth who is speaking. Example Gen 3:1 God is not always talking.

When did the Church start

Acts 1 - 2:47 is the fulfillment of the prophecy and Christ's
promise made in Matt. 16:16-20. Christ in Matt 16:16 He says
"I Will Build" Future. The church received power ( Acts 1:8 ),
 The church recieved the Comforter ( John 14:26; John 15:26;
John 16:7; Acts 9:31 ), Born again believers are sealed
( 2 Cor 1:22; Eph 1:13; Eph 4:30 )-If The Holy Ghost Does the Sealing Who can Brake the Seal, and united the saved ones into one body ( 1 Cor 12:13 )on the Day of Pentecost.
Some teach that the church started after the baptism of Christ
by John the Baptist Matt 3:10 - 17. At this point Jesus had first to come to the Jews then the Gentiles ( Greeks ).
Mat 10:1 - 15 Christ sent His disciples at this point to the Jews.
They preached the kingdom of heaven, earthly Kingdom ruled from Heaven.
The Jews rejected Christ as their Messiah. The kingdom of heaven is still future and will happen for the nation of Israel as promise.
From this point in time forward the message begins to change to the
Kingdom of God. The way was being prepared for the church, made up of both Jew and Gentile. Romans 3:9.

Their is another teaching that the Church started when he called in Matt 4:18 Simon (Peter) and Andrew his brother to become fishers of men.

One needs to Read these verses in context Mat 4:17 - 25.
 I Will. Future!!

What was Jesus preaching? Please read the Verses.
We again must look to the promise of Mat 16:16 - 20 as being Future. I Will Build.

Christ told them that he must go so He could send the Comforter again future.
In Matt 26:27 - 29 Jesus at the Lord's Supper He again told his Disciples of a Future event. He tells them For this is my Blood of The New Testament, which is shed for the Remission of Sins.
Before the church to start Christ had to die.
There was also a promise that they would be with Him
in his Father's kingdom.
For the church to started Christ had to die on the Cross
shed his Blood.  Next He had to send the Comforter -- Holy Spirit ( Ghost ). Acts 1:4 Christ told them to wait For the Power.
This had to be done for us as Christian to have power.
