Baptism and Temptation of
Christ
Matthew 3:13-17
The Baptism
of Jesus and the Being of Christ ministry. Mat
18:11.
( His Work in obeying God the Father, doing the Father's Work. Luke
2:49 )
This is
only the Beginning of His ministry not that Christ Became Man.
He
was already God-Man. John 3:16.
Christ was
of the Legal age of Thirty when He began his ministry. Luke
3:23.
Before one could
under the law Legally serve in the congregation or in service of the tabernacle.
Had to be from
the age of thirty years until the age of Fifty years.
Cp
Numbers 4:3, 23, 35, 39, 43, 47. 1 Chr 23:3
Matthew 4:1-11.
Christ
Didn't Fast Day and Night to be come weak For temptation, Christ fasted
to
become strong Spiritually. Christ ate Nothing for Forty Days and Forty
Nights.Luke 4:2
The Temptation
of The Man Jesus. If Christ had used his God given Powers He would
have sinned.
Christ
had to be tempted as A Man and failed not
Heb
2:18; Heb 4:15 .
Heb 4:15 KJV For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched
with the feeling of our infirmities;
but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:15 CEV Jesus understands every weakness of ours,
because he was tempted in every way that we are.
But he did not sin!
Christ temptation
was even superior to what ours could ever be. He was God.
Jesus could have
ended His temptation by the Devil by using His divinity or calling
on God the
Father. Thank you Lord for suffering as Man.
Without Christ coming
to earth incarnate as a man and dying on the cross and arising
the third day, He could
not be the saviour of man kind. Why not believe
and call upon Jesus
Name For your salvation! Rom 10:9-11
Luke 9:22; Luke
17:25; Luke 18:31-34.
Luke 9:22 KJV Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected
of the
elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised
the third day.
Christ is tempted in the three avenues that all mankind is tempted.
1. The Lust of the Eyes,
2. The Lust of the Flesh, And
3. The Pride of Life.
Genesis 3:1-6; 1 John 2:15-17
1
John 2:16 KJV For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life,
is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Before
I continue further I want to make definite that the readers understand
that
Jesus Christ,
the Son of God, The LORD of the Old Testament (YHWH
) Jehovah is
the Christ
who is God in the Flesh.
He was Christ ( God ) on the day of His baptism. He was already God He
did not
have to
become a God. Yes Christ was not converted to God, He is God, was
God,
and always
will be God. Christ means the Chosen or Anointed one. His human official
name
is
Jesus. Matthew 1:23
Matt. 1:23 KJV Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth
a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us.
As
our study continues I may make reference to other works: Histories. Dictionaries,
Commentaries, Translations
and any other reference that is appropriate.
This is not an attempt
to attack or change any ones belief. Just an effort to being the truth
to a
better understanding
of the Gospel and a lost world's need for salvation.
An effort to put in
plain words the Truth. The Gospel of Christ. We as believers are bidden
to
study the word
of Truth. Joshua 1:8
2 Tim 2:15 KJV Study to show thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Tim 2:15 CEV Do your best to win God's approval as a worker who
doesn't
need to be ashamed and who teaches only the true message
2 Tim 2:16 CEV Keep away from worthless and useless talk.
It only leads people farther away from God.
Since we only have translations
of the original we are to contend for the faith. Jude 1:3
Ones Faith should be
strong in any Translation or any reference. God's Word is God's Word.
Mat 3:13 KJV Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan
unto John, to be
baptized of him.
Mat 3:14 KJV But John forbade him, saying, I have need
to be baptized of
thee, and comest thou to me?
Mat 3:15 KJV And Jesus answering said unto him,
Suffer it to be so now:
for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness.
Then he suffered him.
Facts:
1. Jesus came of His own free will to the Jordan River to be baptized
by John the Baptist. In order to accomplish all righteous.
2. John recognized the one he was preparing the way for.
3. John states to Christ that he needs to be Baptized of Christ.
This is the mark of a humble servant of God. It was also a great honor
to John to baptize Jesus. Mark 1:7-8; John 1:27.
John 1:27 KJV He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me,
whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose.
John followed the will of God.
4. In Mat. 20:22 Christ
speaks of His death as His Baptism.

5. Jesus came to fulfill all righteousness.
John is included for it was foretold.
Christ used the word us. John consented to the baptism of
Jesus.
6. John the Baptist was looking for Jesus. He was preparing the way.
Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16-17; John 1:29-30;
Cp John 1:33; Isa. 11:2
7. Christian so countless times overlook their calling by getting to the
point they
believe they can do God's work in their personal power.
They will achieve something for the reason that The word of God is commanding.
With the power of God so much extra can be carried out.
Heb 4:12 KJV For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Heb 4:12 CEV What God has said isn't only alive and active!
It is sharper than any double-edged sword.
His word can cut through our spirits and souls and
through our joints and marrow,
until it discovers the desires and thoughts of our hearts.
This sword is not referencing to the outer edges or sides. Most pocket
knives
have only one side sharpen on both edges the other side is blunt with a
notch for
pulling the blade out. In other words the edge is sharpen in a Vee.
For a persons life to be changed the must hear the Gospel and accept Jesus.
Rom 10:17.
Rom 10:17 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the
word of God.
Rom 10:17 CEV No one can have faith without hearing the message about Christ.
So much more can be done if the believers yields
to God's power through prayer
and the leading of the Holy Ghost ( Spirit ).
First one must have Christ in their Hearts. God can and will do a
great work
through them.
To the ordinary believer, that only sees a small segment of time,
many may
think their measures are only small.
The faithful believer, that day in and day out does God's work no matter
how
small, may be doing a great work and not know it.
Example:
A young man was out in London in a snow storm, went into a Church.
The only one open on a snowy Wednesday night.
He said he knew the Lord was talking to him, because he was the
only one there. He was saved that night.
It was C. H. Spurgeon. Great works still carry on today as a result
of his
ministry. Always remember The Believer's are the ones Physically Carrying
the
Gospel to another Person.
Jesus gave the Commission to the disciples individually.
They can work where their resources a combined through the Church Heb
10:25.
Rom 10:13 KJV For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall
be saved.
14 KJV How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 KJV And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written,
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 KJV But they have not all obeyed the gospel.
For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God.
In the present day things still work the same.
Before anything to grow or reproduce seeds have to be sown.
There has to be someone preparing the soil, then a sower, then a reaper
( harvest ).
It then starts all over. The believers have to be made stronger through
prayer,
bible reading and study.
References are like Hearing a Good sermon.

3:4-7)

the First Adam's sin was not inherited, past on to Christ ).
Every soul has this curse passed to them from Adam.
Christ died and arose from the Dead to pay that sin debt forever.
Christ even through He was tempted as man Christ did Not Sin.
Christ died on the cross ( tree ), was buried, and by the power of
God
arose the third day.
Jesus Christ after he arose was seen of many.

the Son of God,
John 3:17, the God-man John 1:1-14; John 5:18; John 10:30; Phi 2:5-6,

With this study we will come across that Jesus Christ is God the
Son always was,
is alive today, and is God the Son in the Future.
John 1:1-34; Rev 1:8; Rev 21:6; Rev 22:13.
This is a repeated theme in the Bible.
The reality this subject matter is recurring makes it exceptionally essential.
Mat 3:16 KJV And Jesus, when he was baptized,
went up straightway out of the water:
and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him,and he saw the Spirit of God
descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Mat 3:17 KJV And lo a voice from heaven,
saying, This is my beloved Son,
in whom I am well pleased.
Facts:
1. Jesus was Baptized By John the Baptist in the region of Galilee in the
river of Jordan
2. The river had much water. Cp John 3:23.
John immersed as he was instructed. The subjects went downward into theater.
Some have said John could only have baptized the great numbers only by
having them stand on the bank and John passing by and splashing water on
them as He past them on the bank..
a. Jesus went up Straightway out of the water.
He first had to go down into the water
b. In Mat 3:11 John states he Baptist with
water and the one to come will
Baptize with the Spirit and authority ( fire ).
c. John ask Jesus to baptize him with the Holy Ghost and Fire.
Mat 3:11, 14.

the rest.
Baptism is not to take away sin.
Baptism is show a new life with Jesus Christ.
Died To the old Self and raised to a newness in Life.
3. Jesus had no sin. So Jesus' Baptism was not to take away sin.
The believer is baptized to mark the beginning of a new life or their ministry
as a servant of Jesus Christ and
to show the believer's connection with the Saviour.
4. Baptism for the believer is not to take away sins but rather to publish
( proclaim ) Christ and the supremacy of God in their life.
a. In Christ Baptism He satisfied the law. He and John fulfilled Righteousness.
b. Christ set an model. He identified with the believers. There has
constantly been
believers even in the Old Testament.
.
5. Christ did not turn into a God or the Son of God at this time. Jesus
Christ has for
eternity been God.
Cp Luke 2:49; John 2:1-12.
6. Jesus had reached the age of about 30 years Luke 3:23.
Under Jewish Law the Law of Moses ) the men children were indebted
to the
father's rule and worked for their fathers.
In other words Christ had fulfilled another law or became his own person.
Jesus Christ was nevertheless human and yet God. Mat 1:22-25.
In order for our sin obligation to be paid in full,
Christ had to be man and be sinless.
A believer has to be redeemed by a sinless man under the law,
yet he had to be God The father's only begotten son, born of a virgin.

7. These two Verses are powerful. Here is the record of God the Father,
God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost all in one place at the same
time, each a personality.
a.. Here is Jesus God's Son, the Spirit of God descending like a dove.
Luke 3:22 uses the words of a bodily shape like a
dove.
Dove == 2. A word of endearment,
or an emblem of innocence. Song 2:14.

The Dove reference is to Purity and gently. Today the dove
represents
the Holy Spirit.
The accounts have the Spirit touching Jesus Christ. Isa 42:1.
b. Recorded here and else ware is that Jesus Christ God the Son was standing
in the water.
c. At Jesus out coming, the beginning of Jesus ministry, a
voice from Heaven

Jesus was not just a good man He is The God-man that came in the Flesh.
The Flesh of the lowly human race. Heb 2:7-9.
Luke 3:21 states Jesus was praying.
Yes God promises if we are obedience ( sin free life ) to the Father's
will our
Prayers will be answered. Yes Heaven will be opened.

satisfaction with Jesus.
10. John the Baptist knew who Jesus was. John 1:29,35.
11. On this day Jesus in public (openly )
begin His ministry of being about His
Father's business. Luke 2:49

DO NOT BE TORmented Day and Night in the Flame
That consumes NOT.
Brimstone Gives off no Light. With caution Get some flowers of sulfur And
burn it.
The Flame is Blue and has a stifling odor
Be very careful not to get hurt or burn by the burning sulfur.
It will take a while to heal if you are hurt by the invisible blue
flame.
The fumes can take your breath.
The Fires of Hell are forever ( eternity - everlasting ).
Mat 22:13; Mat 25:30; Cp John 12:46; 2 Peter 2:4;
2 Peter 2:17; Jude 1:6; Jude 1:13.
The importance of missing the everlasting is so great it bears repeating
in
difference translation of God's Holy Word.
Rev 9:2 KJV And he opened the bottomless pit;
and there arose a smoke out of the pit,
as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were
darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
Rev 9:2 CEV As it opened the tunnel,
smoke poured out like the smoke of a great furnace.
The sun and the air turned dark because of the smoke.
Rev 9:2 GW It opened the shaft of the bottomless pit,
and smoke came out of the shaft
like the smoke from a large furnace.
The smoke darkened the sun and the air.
God's word Is powerful. The eternity Fires of the
Lake are real.
By the way this Shaft Has no Bottom or ending. It is going to hold
lots of Wicked and Lost Souls, Paying their on Sin liability themselves
in
the same place as their Father the Devil. John 8:44.
What is the second Death? Separation
From God and Loved ones for ever.
Rev 20:14 KJV And death and hell were cast into the

Of God.
Here is the three persons of the Godhead. The Trinity.
Christ acknowledged the The Trinity.
Mat 28:19. Cp Genesis 1:26; Gen 3:22; Gen 11:7.
Gen 1:26 KJV And God said, Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness:
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle,
and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth.
Notice The use of the words used are plural: us, our.
14. The instant each believer is saved by accepting the work of Jesus Christ
and
asking Him to be Lord over their life.
One must invite Jesus to be their personal saviour.
The Holy Spirit empowers the believer to do the will of the father
and live
a life Christ would have His servants Live.
Cp 2 Cor 5:17; Rom 8:26; Rom 15:19; 1 Cor 2:4; 1 Cor 2:10-14.
The Spirit of God dwells in you. 1 Cor 3:16;

Rev 1:10; Rev 2:7; Rev 22:17.
The Scriptures concerning the Spirit can not be quoted
without the question of the
Spirit of God's work in eternal salvation and who keeps a soul saved for
all eternity.
15. In biblical times the name stood for the person's place on earth or
character.
There are people in the bible, who names were changed.
Saul's name changed to Paul. Old creature to a new creature in Christ
.
The Devil has changed name having a meaning to the name is just a
name. He attack God's word By changing the meaning of words.
This is one of the reason their are so many translations of God's Word
from the original. The Hebrew Old Testament was translated to Greek,
it was also from Hebrew to Latin and Syriac.
These ancient translations can sometimes show what the Hebrew
or Greek text said at the time they were translated. Modern translators
as well as many older Translators did use them to come to a better
understanding of the meaning of God's word.
Eph 6:12; Col 2:15.
A person still today can create a name for themselves.
Certain people both good and evil's name tell of their character and works
on earth. Whatever they did to make a name for themselves is a name
that is associated with their deeds.
16. The Heavens were opened unto Christ.
This was done while Jesus was praying.
Luke 3:21.
17. The voice from Heaven in verse 17 identifies Jesus as God's Son.
The words are repeated in the Word of God.
Mat 17:5; Luke 9:35-36; 2 Peter 1:17; Voice from
Heaven again before
His death. John 12:25-30.
The fact it is repeated, means take notice this is essential.
The phrase is also to show the nearness to God the Father's heart
His son was. Heb 1:10-13
Implies He is coequal With God the Father.
Heb 1:5-8; John 10:29-33; John 19:7.
Mat 4:1 KJV Then was Jesus led up
of the spirit into the wilderness to be
tempted of the devil.
Facts:
1.
The Holy Ghost lost no time in sending Jesus to the wilderness.
The wilderness is the territory of the serpent (Satan). The wilderness
is an
uninhabited area.
"This was likely somewhere in the outback country
of Judea which can be most
inhospitable. Temptation is a worldly and inhospitable experience. The
area
about the wilderness is covered with rocks and cliffs. The "wilderness"
is an
uninhabited area that is barren and hot. It is a difficult and often life
threatening place to be. The Lord has promised to provide streams in the
desert Isa. 35:6; Isa. 43:19)."
Commentary by Sunday school board of the Landmark Missionary
Baptist. http://www.abaptist.org
2. The Holy Spirit Led Jesus into the
Wilderness. Mark 1:13 states
wild beasts ( Animals )
were with Jesus in the Wilderness. These desert animals can kill a person.
In Mark 1:12 Mark
tells Jesus was drove or made to go to the wilderness.
The Greek word used here has a stronger word than drove. This testing was
of much importance, to the idea of must do.
Jesus had to stand up to the wiles of the Devil. Cp.
Eph 6:11
In Mat 4:1 Led up = anago¯ an-ag'-o
From G303 and G71; to lead up; by extension to bring out;
specifically to sail away: - bring (again, forth, up again),
depart, launch (forth), lead (up), loose, offer, sail, set forth, take
up.
Drove = G1544 ekballo¯ ek-bal'-lo
From G1537 and G906; to eject (literally or figuratively):
- bring forth, cast (forth, out), drive (out), expel, leave,
pluck (pull, take, thrust) out, put forth (out), send away (forth, out).
Temptations are used by the Holy Spirit to make us strong.
Luke 4:1 says Jesus Led into the wilderness.
Led = ago¯ ag'-o G71
a primary verb; properly to lead; by implication to bring, drive,
(reflexively) go, (specifically) pass (time), or (figuratively) induce:
- be,
bring (forth), carry, (let) go, keep, lead away, be open.
3.
Jesus was to be tempted as all other man. Remember Jesus is God's son.
He also was God come in the Flesh. Our Saviour had to bear the sin burden
for the whole of creation. Christ covers the sin of all believers. The
sins forgiven
are Past, Present, and Future . Mat 12:31. All sin. He even
takes away the Cruse
of Adam passed on to the human race and all of creation.
John 1:29; John 16:8; Rom 5:12; 1 John 1:7;
1 John 2:1; 1 John 3:9.
Rom 5:12 KJV Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world,
and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men,
for that all have sinned:
Rom 8:22 KJV For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth
in pain together until now.
Remember Jesus body was human at this time and until His death on the cross.
If He did not have a human body like ours Jesus could not have died on
the
cross for our sin, and the Cruse, Adam passed on to the total of creation
couldn't
have been lifted for all who make Christ Lord and master of their life.
Mark 16:19; Acts 7:56; 1 Tim 2:5
The power of God raised Jesus Christ from the grave alive. Then Jesus received
His glorified body.
God! thanks, that the God-man, Jesus Christ is Alive and is mine
connection in Heaven, setting at God's right Hand. A Place of Power
and authority. Mark 16:19; 1 Tim 2:5-6; Cp.
Genesis 41:41-44
Joseph was a type or picture of Christ.
Being man Jesus suffer as we do. Jesus begin God provided the redemption
power of eternal life. Abundant life.
4.
When a person receives a Call to be saved or serve the Lord, the Devil
and his demons
Will do everything in their powers to redirect that person paths away from
service of God,
there by depriving them of blessings and joy in the Lord.
5. Matthew's account seems to arrange the three temptations in a difference
order.
The second and third temptation are reversed. Matthew has them arranged
Chronically ( times wise, the order they happen ).
6. Each of the Four gospels present Christ in a difference office.
Matthew == Christ , The King
Mark == Christ , The Servant
Luke == Christ , The Man
John == Christ , In His
Deity. "Christ being God in the beginning.
John 1:1-4. Christ
is our Saviour. John 12:47.
7. Don't forget Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert for the purpose
of being tested or proved. I looked up some synonyms for temptation:
lure, enticement, attraction, appeal, these are just a few.
Is your Life as a born again ( born of the Spirit ) tempted. A Christian
should count it all joy to be worthy to be tempted of the Devil.
1 Peter 1:7; James 1:2-3.
Mat 4:2 KJV And when he
had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was
afterward hungry
Facts:
1. Jesus Fasted Forty days and Forty nights. Cp.
Exodus 34:28; 1 Kings 19:8.
The accounts of Jesus' fasting is mention that He fasted both day and night.
In Luke 4:2 Jesus
is said to have eaten nothing. God Made it so clear
that Jesus did not eat during this time. Some souls partially Fast. Fast
during the day only or by nightly only. Some leave off certain foods during
the Fast.
With no mistake Jesus Fasted Totally, No food at all, He ate nothing.
A full 24 hour day is equal to night and day beginning At six o'clock PM
to six o'clock PM the following day. The day starts in darkness going
into the Light. Cp. Genesis chapter 1. The
Salvation of ones soul From
the darkness of sin to the Light of Jesus Christ.
The Sabbath is 6 o'clock PM Friday night till 6 o'clock PM Saturday night.
This period of fasting lasted over one Lunar month. Lunar month = thirty
days.
The Lunar calendar has twelve equal months of thirty days each.
By any ones calendar it is forty (40 ) days.
2. Some students of God's word suggest that Jesus was tempted during His
temptation.
This may be right. The word says Jesus was motived to a wilderness with
wild animals
and to be tempted of the Devil.
Some suggest Jesus fast was to prepare Him for what was to come. I believe
during
His fast there was also Prayer. Jesus prayed often. And this was to prepare
Christ For God's Work.
Fast = Voluntary abstinence from food, as
a religious mortification
or humiliation; either total or partial abstinence from customary food,
with a view to mortify the appetites, or to express grief and affliction
on
account of some calamity, or to deprecate an expected evil.
Deprecate ==
More generally, to regret; to have or to express deep sorrow
at a present evil, or at one that may occur.
This word is seldom used to express actual prayer;
but it expresses deep regret that an evil exists or
may exist, which implies a strong desire that it may be
removed or averted.
From Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of American English Byway www.e-sword.net
Fasting is a time of getting your body pure ( free of sin ) and Getting
your Soul,
Spirit, and body prepared for God's work. Fasting is for drawing close
to God. In drawing close to God or coming into His present for both service
and answers to Prayer.
Mat 17:21; Mark 9:29; 1 Cor 7:5.
I did not say one will not be tempted during this time. Believers can never
relax
their watch against the devil.
3. Christ was hungry afterward. The expression implies He was not hungry
during the fast. Believers today in a true fast are not hungry during the
fast,
more than ever if they are seeking God. I have not said one has to fast
in
order to pray a receive an answer to prayer. If you as a believer think
you
do not have the power in your pray as you should then prayer and fasting
would be in order. This is for special Powers. Many soul call to God's
work,
Fast and Pray before doing God's work . Mat
17:21; Mark 9:29
There are others that only spend time in School Learning to be servants
of God. Schools can greatly enhance a persons ministry. The schools can
not
make on a servant of God unless they are Saved by the Holy Ghost's use
of
the Word. Ye must be born again. Just don't need make it a hard thing.
Simply in Jesus own words. John 3:6-7
.
John 3:6 KJV That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:7 KJV Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
During Fasting one is to come into the present of
God through Prayer and Praise
to the point the outside world does not enter.
Each believer as a Priest can enter into a closeness with God. 1
Peter 2:5, 9
While fasting we can intercede for others through prayer. Jesus was fasting
for the whole
of creation. Jesus while on earth prayed for His own.
Today Christ is our legal representative in Heaven at God the Father's
right hand.
4. God's Word by no means says Christ was hungry for the duration of the
Fast only afterwards.
Jesus was experiencing living by the every word that proceeded out of the
mouth of God.
Pastors, deacons, teachers, workers, soulwinners must take time to receive
strength
from above. So many try to do God's work on their own and take the recognition
for
themselves.
Lacking the Power of God, the believers can only Go through the steps
without Power. First one must be saved.
1 Cor 2:12 KJV Now we have received, not the spirit of the world,
but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God.
13 KJV Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom
teacheth,
but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with
spiritual.
14 KJV But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.
15 KJV But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged
of no man.
1 Cor 2:14 CEV That's why only someone who has God's Spirit can understand
spiritual blessings. Anyone who doesn't have God's Spirit thinks
these blessings are foolish.
Remember we as believers are to try the spirits. 1
John 4:1.
Some are of the Devil they are not saved. 2
Cor 11:14-15; 2 Peter 2:1.
The believers are to challenge ( contend ) for the faith. Jude
1:3.
Cp. Gen. 3:1-5; Gal 1:8; Rev 12:9.
Mat 4:3 KJV And when the tempter
came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God,
command that these stones be made bread.
Mat 4:4 KJV But he answered and said,
It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Facts:
1. As one looks at every one of these verses Jesus was tempted by:
A. the Lust of the Flesh ( stones to bread )
B. the Lust of the Eyes ( Jump from temple )
C. the Pride of Life ( kingdoms of the earth )
Genesis 3:1-6; 1 John 2:15-17
2. The first Adam was tempted the same way as Jesus ( the last Adam.)
3. The stones in this vicinity, as I have read are shaped like cakes or
tiny loaves of bread.
Cp. Matt 7:9.
The Look of food can make one hungry just so much more. Just
look at ads relater to food.
Luke 4:3 Command
this stone ( one stone.) be made bread. This is the way satan temps
.
One cigarette, one drug, one drink, just try one it want hurt.
Be made; Revised
Version, become; rightly, because there is no thought of
the process of manufacture in general, Bread;
Revised Version margin,

oblong or round cake, as thick as one's thumb,
and as large as a plate or Platter;
hence it was not cut, but [e.g. Matthew 1 4:19] broken"
(Thayer).

In Luke the devil points to one stone only, and tempts him to bid it become
a loaf of bread.
Jesus had the power being also God. He was sent to earth to do His Father's
will
not Jesus' own will.
Mat. 26:41-42; Mark 14:36; Luke 22:42-43; John 4:34; 5:30;
Cp Heb 10:7.
4. Satan always plants doubt. Like only quoting the part of the Scriptures
that says
what he want it to imply. The old Devil knows everyone's weakness.
5. Jesus did not have to prove to the Devil that He was God the Devil knew.
James 2:19. Jesus knew he himself was the
Son of God.
Jesus had no doubts who He was and what His mission on earth was.
Matt. 1:21; Matt. 18:11; Luke 9:56; Luke 19:10; John 12:47.
6. The word of God is to dwell in us. Col
3:16; Gal 6:6.
Col 3:16 KJV Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
One means for the believer to grow in Faith is by attending Sunday School.
This day and time, year 2003, there is not any reason for a believer saved
by the Grace of God, indwell by the Spirit of God, not to be able
to study
God's word. The Word, the Holy Bible is printed in so many languages and
translations.Readily available at any book store.
The King James 1769 version known as the Authorized Version is one
of the most popular Version today. Of thisversion of God's Holy Word
more references are tied to the KJV than any other version.
It has stood the test of the times. Every word is explained in works Going
back to the
original languages.
This is done to correctly divide the Word of Truth.
Don't chose a translation because it says what you want it to.
Don't not chose a translation because it doesn't utter what you want it
to.
The same is true of Commentaries, Preachers, or additional reference
resources.

Christ comes for us
at His coming for His saints. Coming for His own.
1 Thess 4:16.
Eph 4:30 KJV And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are
sealed unto the day of redemption.
Preachers and Pastors a trained to study and memories key scriptures to
help them become
better ministers.
Jesus spoke the following words Himself.
John 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
It is not sufficient the drive a Car. Only you can not go far with out
Fuel, but you can go
beyond if one puts fuel in the fuel tank. The car will last longer if the
auto is maintained
and serviced on a regular basic. The believer has to be Feed. A Preacher
that doesn't Pray
and feed on the word is in poor spiritual Health. A worker for Christ that
praises, worships,
and studies God Word with their wife and family are strong in the Lord.
Pro
15:19.
This is true of a believer that has not and does not permit the Holy Spirit
to teach them.
They become weak and unsure of themselves in the Lord.
One has to unlock themselves to be taught by the Spirit.
Information is the means the Holy Ghost ( Spirit )uses in teaching. A believer
is to make
their individual personal decision. The servant of God must know what the
Lord wants
them to do. You can not Praise God if you don't know what He has and can
perform.
The public Schools were a desire of George Washington, the first president
United States of America. His desire was that every child to be able to
Read the bible and
make their own decision about God.
We must be careful not to dictates a belief to out of spring. You salvation
must be real a
one on one relation to Jesus Christ. No one can save your soul execpt Jesus
Christ.Our
salvation is not based on our relationship with the pastor or other Church
leader.
In many countries today, 10-10-2003, it is a death sentence to read the
Word or
Give a Bible, much less tell some one about Jesus. These Christian must
hide the whole books
of the Bible in their hearts. There has been times in the History of Christianity
the
believer had to relief on the Holy Ghost.
The believers past letter and bits of Scripture from person to person.
John
14:2
A believer must fill their hearts up with God's Word so the Holy Ghost
can bring ALL
things to remembrance.
John 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
There are Pastors and teachers that are terrified their flock will know
more then they know.
To Many nowadays it has develop into a job without God.
Just a business. There is nothing wrong with the Church being run like
a business as long
as Jesus Christ is of utmost importance The believer are promoting a product,
Jesus Christ as Saviour.
A pastor is not a sovereign neither are the deacons.
They are leaders and examples.
7. Jesus answered with written Scripture Deu
8:3.
To be tempted as man Jesus had to be without sin by doing the Father's
will.
By faith a believer has to depend on God in all aspects of their lives.
There are periods when one is a young Christian, we wonder at things that
happen
in our journey here on earth., people we meet, the jobs we have, churches
we
attend but as we trust God and the older we become we begin to see
the reason..
Be careful of an opinion you might have of some one else's situation until
you tread
in their shoes.
8. We are to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
In Genesis Chapter one. God Spoke,( God Said ).His word spoken everything
into
existence.
If the believer, the one that has trust their soul to Jesus for safe
keeping, believing
He paid the debt, (Rom 1:16; Rom 4:3;
Rom 8:35-38;
Rom 10:13; 2 Tim 1:12) is trusting Jesus'
work they have the power of the Holy Spirit
dwelling in their hearts.
If God is powerful enough to Create everything, can not God take care of
the believer
just has to rely on The Spirit, a Born again believer for All
eternality.
Do you have the power of the Awesome God?
The God of the Holy Bible!
Jesus suffer and died because He loved you first. Rom
5:8
Rom 5:8 KJV But God commendeth his love toward
us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:8 CEV But God showed how much he loved us by having
Christ die for us even though we were sinful.
9. Following salvation one needs to let the indwelling Spirit guide
their life to Joy and Bliss.
I didn't say the trails of life would leave, just your joy and bliss in
the Lord
will out weight the burdens of the world.
Your burdens were lifted at Calvary. Matt.
11:28; Matt. 23:4; Gal 6:2.
1 Peter 5:7 KJV Casting all your care upon
him; for he careth for you.
10. Again Jesus uses the Word of God, the Sword. Eph 6:16; Heb 4:12.
God will supply all your needs. He provided manna for the Hebrews in the
wilderness for Forty years.
11. Jesus was also human, just because He was also God did not mean He
could not
suffer as a man. The God-man could feel Pain.
Again Jesus was already God He did not turn into God's son at these times.
He has always been God. Joshua
5:14-15.
He felt pain.
Matt. 26:36-46; Mark 14:32-42;
Luke 22:44; Luke 24:46;
He was hungry and thirsty John 4:7.
He needed sleep
John 11:13.
He bleed
John 19:34.
He was flesh and blood John
19:32-36
He was tired
John 4:6.
Jesus was to suffer with the sins of many. Isa.
53:11-12.
So Jesus is our Saviour forever
Isa 51:5-6.
12. The Devil tried to place doubt in the Man part of Jesus' mind.
The Devil used The eyes, Flesh - hungry, pride of life and the eyes.
Jesus was told, asked with an element of Disbelief, if you are the
son of God.
This would be not small task for you, if you are The Son of God.
The old Serpent was taunting Jesus.
To see this method in operation just watch some of the politicians and
most news people.
The accuser knew who Jesus was. He has done and is doing everything
in his powers the stop Jesus from performing His mission.
Genesis 3:14-15.
Lack of competence is a great obstacle to any thing in life.
Yes it is impossible For a Man to save His self.
Eze 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness,
nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity;
but thou hast delivered thy soul.
20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness,
and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him,
he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning,
he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done
shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Jesus Is the one Who saves your soul an imputes Righteous.

Rom 3:22; Rom 5:18; Rom 5:19; Isa 45:24; Isa 45:25; Isa 54:17;
Jer 22:6, Jer 33:16; Dan 9:24; 1 Cor 1:30; 2 Cor 5:21;
Phi 3:9; 2 Peter 1:1.
Christ is the one Who Gives Man a Righteous Standing
before God.
Rom 4:6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man,
unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
Don't get caught up in ones own righteous.
Mat 4:5 KJV Then the devil taketh
him up into the holy city, and setteth
him on a pinnacle of the temple,
Mat 4:5 CEV Next, the devil took Jesus to the holy city and had him stand
on the highest part of the temple.
Facts:
1. The pinnacle is the highest point of the Temple.
On the pinnacle of the temple (epi to pterugion tou hierou). Literally
"wing:"
the English word "pinnacle" is from the Latin pinnaculum,
a diminutive
of pinna (wing). "The temple" (tou hierou) here includes the whole temple
area,
not just the sanctuary (ho naos), the Holy Place and Most Holy Place.
It is not clear what place is meant by "wing." It may refer to Herod's
royal
portico which overhung the Kedron Valley and looked down some
four hundred and fifty feet, a dizzy height (Josephus, Ant. XV. xi.
5).
This was on the south of the temple court.
Hegesippus says that James the Lord's brother was later placed on the
wing of the thrown down there from.
WORD PICTURES IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
By Archibald Thomas Robertson
At times in your Christian life the Devil or his demons may endeavor to
mislead,
there by manipulating the believer into situations of risk to a Christian
witness.
He will get in the way with the believer's relationship with God,
God the son, and God the Holy Spirit.
2. The Devil - the one who wishes to be like God.
Ezek 28:11-19; Isa. 14:12-17.
Satan can fool souls in the church into believing the Pastor or a member
is angel of Light.
Gen 3:1; Cp 2 Cor 11:14-15.
The Devil was throw out of Heaven. Luke 10:18;
Cp Job 1:6-7
A. Eph 2:2-4 He is the power of the air and
spirit of the world's
disobedience system.( Governments ).
B. The current world system, Rev 13:8, has
the influence of the evil Devil
and his demons. Of the world systems he is Prince.
John 12:31; John 14:30; John 16:11
C. The Devil in 2 Cor 4:3-4 is the god of
this age.
D. The Devil has access to God.
Job 1:6-11; Luke 22:31-32; 1 Cor 5:5; 1 Tim 1:20.
E. Satan is the accuser of the believers. Rev 12:10.
This accuser is constrained by God.
Job 1:10; Job 1:12; Job 2:6.
The believers are set aside by the power of God through
Jesus Christ's
completed work on the cross and shed blood.
The advocacy of Christ keeps the believer saved.
Luke 22:31; 1 John 2:1; Cp 1 Cor 5:5
F. The Devil took Jesus to the Holy City. Jerusalem
was referred to as
the city sanctified, consecrate for the worship of God.
The Temple was located in Jerusalem.
The Accuser could have transported Jesus any way God would allow.
He could taken Jesus Bodily, or in the Spirit.
We as readers of The Gospels are not told.
According to Luke 4:9 The Devil is said to
have brought
Jesus to Jerusalem.
If they walked it could have made Jesus as a man fatigued
and harder to resist the temptation by the Devil.
It doesn't affect the out come by how they arrived at their destination.
Jesus was tempted as a man. The description in Luke has
Jesus tempted in three ways.
If one notices the Devil sent himself the Chief tempter to temp Jesus.
Again Matthew gives the actual order of the
temptations, not order of important. Luke many believe is the
order of importance.
Mat 4:6 KJV And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself
down:
for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:
and in their hands they shall bear thee up,
lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Mat 4:7 KJV Jesus said unto him, It is written again,
Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Facts:
1. Yet again the Devil tries to use the Scriptures to scam Jesus into sinning.
The Word of God as it is written, the Old Testament.
Exodus 4:14-17; Matt. 5:17; John 1:33; 2 Tim 3:16-17; Heb 1:1.
The Word of God is God breathed. The New testament was not written
at this time.
2. Now once more, the prince of the world System, John 12:31,
uses doubt to weaken Jesus.
A. Pride of Life. To be able to save
Himself.
B. Lust of the Eyes The bystanders will see that God Saved
His Son.
C. Lust of the Flesh To save his physical Life from pain and
death..
3. Psalms 91:11-12 is the
Scripture The deceiver Quoted only a fraction
of the verses.
A half truth gets a soul in lots of troubles. This is why there are
difference brands of Christian religions.
The Old serpent was easy to look upon.. The Devil tries and does
succeed to make sin a desire everytime. Heb
11:25
The Devil left out, to keep thee in all thy ways.
4. How did Jesus answer? It is written, it is the law. The Law of Moses,
the Law God gave the Israelites. Deut 6:16.
Jesus refers to the Pentateuch, the book of Moses, the first Five books
of our Bible, or the Law of Moses as the Hebrews refer to them.
.
5. The believer is not to temp the Lord thy God.
Deut 6:16; Luke 4:12; 1 Cor 10:9.
Are we as believers to walk onto a busy, High Speed Interstate Highway
in Front of a semitruck traveling at speeds of more that forty miles per
hour
and ask God to save his earthly corrupt Life.
This would be testing God.
Our Faith by trusting in the Finish work of Jesus Christ.
God is not of a mind to share the Glory for saving your soul with man.
God is a jealous God. Exodus 34:14.
What is Faith?
Heb 11:1 CEV Faith makes us sure of
what we hope for and
gives us proof of what we cannot see.
"Faith means being grasped by a power
that is greater than we are, a power that is
greater than we are, a power that shakes us and turns us, and transforms
and heals us.
Surrender to this power of faith."
~ Paul Tillich
We as born again believers trusting in Jesus Christ finished work.,
1 Cor 15:1-11,
We are to have Faith in God. Mark 11:22; Acts
26:18; 2 Cor 5:7.
6. With Faith we are to pray believing prayers will be answered.
This is the prayer of Faith. Saints are to pray without ceasing.
Matt. 21:22; 1 Thess 5:17; 1 John 3:22;
1 John 5:14. Prayer is not tempting God. We
are to pray God's will.
God means for us to live the will of God.
Mat 4:8 KJV Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding
high
mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world,
and the glory of them;
Mat 4:9 KJV And saith unto him, All these things will I give
thee,
if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Mat
4:10 KJV Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written,
Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Facts:
1. As ones observation of the Devil is true to form. He continues to take
Jesus to new heights.
For you who have never been on top of a mountain it is an experience
every one should look forward to taking.
It is breath taking.
The mountains sometimes in the scriptures represents the places
of Government or power. Authority gives power.
Mountain A mountain, in Scripture symbolism, means a kingdom,
authority,
or rule
(Dan 2:35, 44-45 ; Rev 17:9-11.
Isa 2:2 New C I Scofield Study Bible
Mountain In vv. 1-4 there are some general predictions concerning
the
kingdom. In Scripture a mountain is sometimes the symbol of a great
earthly power (Dan 2:35); hills, of smaller powers.
The prediction asserts
(1) the ultimate establishment of the kingdom, with Jerusalem for the
capital (v. 2);
(2) the universality of the future kingdom (v. 2);
(3) its character-peace (v. 3); and
(4) its effect-prosperity (v. 4). Cp. Isa 2:1-5; 11:1-12.
Mic 4:1 New C I Scofield study Bible.
The Devil took him Higher and Higher each time not by chance but with
a purpose in mind. He was trying to end Jesus. ministry.
Power corrupts, many servants of our Lord Jesus get caught up in the
Power one feels from the power of God working in their life.
Before long the Pride of Life causes them to lose the joy they had in performing
our Lord's work in His Power by the Holy Ghost.
There is a large difference between the losing the Joy of one's salvation
and Losing their salvation. Their salvation is bought and paid for
in their
acceptance of Jesus Christ as their payment
for their sins. 1 Cor 6:20; 1 Cor 7:23.
Repent, Change your outlook on sin. Change your outlook toward Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ Name stands for it all. Just tell Jesus Christ you need Him
because
you are a sinner bound for the Big Fiery lake made for the Devil
and his workers.
Rev 19:20; Rev 20:10, 14-15; Rev 21:8.
2. The Devil showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and the Glory of
them
All in a moment of time.
Did the Devil Show Jesus this in a Quick tour of the World?
Physically or through a vision? From a High Mountain Could
Jesus see the Known world or all the Kingdoms of the World?
Did the Devil Stop Time?
Did the Devil show Jesus an delusion?
Rom 1:25; 2 Cor 4:4.
2 Cor 11:14 KJV And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed
into an angel of light.
2 Cor 11:14 CEV And it is no wonder.
Even Satan tries to make himself look like an
angel of light.
The Devil is again using the Pride of Life. He recommends and reason that
Jesus can take a Short cut in Jesus' mission for the Souls of mankind.
There is no short cut with God but God's way, John
14:6, Knowing the
Israelites would reject Jesus, the Devil was playing on Jesus utmost desires
of the Heart.
Some times Pastors say they are using the Spirit of God. Or that
God told them
to do certain things. There is a reason the Apostles were Twelve
and meet together
Praying and doing God's work.
Acts 1:13-2:1. Acts 1:15 about one hundred
and twenty disciples.
The Churches were independent and voted on business of the
Local church.
The Members sent letter of transfer from churches.
The early Assemblies had Bishops and Deacons.
2 Cor 3:1; 1 Tim 3:1-2; Titus 1:7.
3. Once more The Devil uses the eyes and another
opportunity for sin to enter Jesus.
4. The Lust of the Flesh - in that the pain and suffering could be bypassed.
Jesus could have taken the easy route. But it would have been sin.
He would have been using the Power of God to serve Himself.
5. What is the price of doing what the Devil advises?
Is the Devil saying, Jesus could worship God before the Devil?
In other words through the Devil.
Or is the Devil wanting Jesus, God's son, the worship the Devil?
The Devil Sin was I Will. Isa. 14:14.
A. Who's were these kingdoms to give?
The Devil is the Prince of this world.
John 12:31; John 14:30; John 16:11; Eph 2:2.
Jesus had not as of yet had the Power or keys.
Acts 2:24; Rom 8:2; 1 Cor 15:21; Heb 2:9; Rev 1:18.
The Devil had power over death. Heb 2:14..
B. The Devil say I can give to anyone I wish. He had the Power.
6. Jesus here paints the kettle by His name, The Satan.
Jesus Tells the Devil to begone. Jesus did not tell the devil to
get behind thee
, no he told him to Go away.
In Mat 16:23 Jesus told Peter to Follow Him
and Get behind so Jesus could Lead
and protect him.
Then comma the Lord told Satan he offended our Lord.
Jesus explained that the Devil could not understand or enjoy the things
of God.
7. The words "him alone thou shalt
serve" need be recalled today.
Jesus will warn men against trying to serve God and mammon Matt.
6:24.
The devil as the lord of the evil world constantly tries to win men to
the service
of the world and and a way from the service of God.
This is his chief camouflage for destroying a preacher's power
for God.
The word here in Mat 4:10 for
serve is latreuseis from latris a hired
servant, one who works for hire, then render worship.

8. Our Lord and Saviour again uses a Sword to resist the Devil.
Eph 6:17.
The written word is powerful. Again the Law given
God. To Moses.
Deut. 6:13 is the verse quoted by Jesus. Cp.
Exodus 20:1-5
9. In the course of this
trial, it appears that our blessed Lord was tempted,
1st. To Distrust. Command these stones to become bread.
2dly. To Presumption. Cast thyself down.
3dly. To worldly Ambition. All these will I give.
4thly. To Idolatry. Fall down and worship me, or do me homage.
There is probably not a temptation of Satan, but is reducible to one
or other of these four articles.

10. No one Person is exempt from trails and temptation. Jesus was like
as we are all
during His earthly abode He was tempted.
God is powerful enough to provide the believer a way out.
1 Cor 10:13.
We as believers trusting in Jesus Christ Finished work are to pray for
the Good Life.
1 Tim 2:1-4.
1 Tim 2:1 CEV First of all, I ask you to pray for everyone.
Ask God to help and bless them all,
and tell God how thankful you are for each
of them.
2 Pray for kings and others in power,
so that we may live quiet and peaceful
lives as we worship and honor God.
3 This kind of prayer is good, and it pleases God our Savior.
4 God wants everyone to be saved and to know the whole truth,
which is,
5 There is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who
can bring us to God. Jesus was truly human,
and he gave himself to rescue all of us.
I hope The Above version does not offend any one. It is just an attempt
to make
God's Word more understandable.
In the dark ages the Church leaders kept the Written word from their people.
One most could not afford the Written word. It was hand written.
Next the Church leaders wanted complete Power over their people.
If a person is leading today in the true power of God, The Lord will build
up
protection around them.
Again we only have translations.
Jesus Christ taught and preached as little Children could understand.
Mat 19:14.
When the believer's are spreading seeds we are to make is so simply to
understand that they are compel to follow. Matt. 22:9; Luke 14:23.
Mat 4:11 KJV Then the devil liveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered
unto him.
Facts:
1. The Devil went away from Jesus for future opportunity another day.
Luke 4:13.
2. The Angels did not infer until the Temptation of the man part of Jesus
was over.
Have you ever been in a situation where you wish you could just speak a
word
and all of the agony would end?
Jesus being also God had the Power to stop the temptation,
Matt. 26:53, Jesus would then not been
the one that knew no sin.
Jesus could have skipped the pain and loneliness,
Matt. 27:46; Mark 15:34, of the Cross.
Matt. 26:39.
To mature up in the shelter of your father and mothers arms is great.
If you are an only child the death of a loved one leaves to some lonely
times.
This is a cruel world. The Devil is cruel. Jesus at the Cross had the weight
of the Sins and Sin of the world to bear alone in a loneliness.
Jesus had never experienced a completed separation from God the Father.
Jesus suffer at the temptor's hand and the weight of burden of
the cross
so you and I by repenting, saying Jesus Christ I need your finished work
to save my sinful soul for all eternity.
Eph 2:7 KJV That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding
riches of his grace
in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good
works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
These verses are so strong that they stand repeating. The word of God becomes
more
powerful the more it is used. In Romans chapter we as believers are
told to spread
the Word ,the Gospel.
Not everyone reads or listens the same. The environment Plays in the way
a person
Learns. Paul in Acts 17:23 used
an altar to the unknown God as a chance to Preach
the Gospel.
Eph 2:6 CEV God raised us from death to life with Christ Jesus,
and he has given us a place beside Christ in heaven.
7 God did this so that in the future world he could show how truly
good and
kind he is to us because of what Christ Jesus has done.
8 You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than
we deserve.
This God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own.
9 It isn't something you have earned, so there is nothing you can
brag about.
Rom 6:23 CEV Sin pays off with death.
But God's gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ
our Lord.
Dear sinner God Loves you so much that the salvation of your soul is just
for the asking.
There is nothing you have to do to be saved, but repent. Just simply
believe
in the Finished work of God through Jesus Christ.
Luke 13; Acts 3.
3. The angels came and ministered unto Jesus. Jesus needs were taken
care of ,
remember Jesus was Tried, Hungry, Had been fasting day and night for
Forty days. He had not eaten day or night for forty days and nights.
Oh what a great Salvation the followers of Jesus have!
Oh what a great work He did for us!
Jesus felt the sting of Death for everyone past, present, and future.
Heb 2:3 KJV How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;
which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord,
and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders,
and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost,
according to his own will?
Jesus is not will that any perish, He is willing
that all come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
The key word is come. Come now give you heart to Jesus. Luke 5:32.
