Salvation the Finished work of Christ.
John 19:30  When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished:
and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
John 4:34; John 5:36; John 17:4

 Mat 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

 Mat 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

 Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

           If you have had a Personal experience with Jesus You know what Baptism this verse is talking about.

Luke 7:50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.

                    That Pesky word Faith again 35 times in the New Testament. without Water Baptism.

 Luke 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

                      That Pesky word Believe again over 115 times in the New Testament. without Water Baptism.
There is another Baptism.  What Is It? Happen the moment you are saved.
 Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
What was Jesus Christ purpose?

When looking and thinking at the work of God for lost men. It is important to understand the difference between the:

       1 finished work of Christ for all, this being done and completed in unending , infinite perfection,

       2 The saving work of God for and in each soul the moment they believe on Christ.
        What is Prayer? Some religions don't believe in prayer.

         The thing that is important is to Believe in your heart. ( your whole being).  John 19:30
Last recorded word of Christ. Here it is important that He bowed His head and gave up the Ghost.
They did not take it from him. Christ laid down His life
  It is evident that He was not referring to His own life, His service, His suffering; but to a special work His Father God had given to do.
This work did not begin until Jesus was on the cross and which was completed when he died.
For the whole world.

 John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him

                     should not perish, but have everlasting life.
             17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might
                    be saved.
             18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,
                    because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

            It seems we keep running to those pesky words Believeth and Everlasting Life With our Water Baptism or any other works.

 Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with

                 glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
                Again those pesky words Grace of God.
       I am not trying to sound smart but there they keep popping up.
If Water Baptism was that important in the Salvation of Man's soul would it not be told every time someone answered how to be saved.
In a  Provisionary Sense, Provided redemption.

 1 Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
              6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Reconciliation

 2 Cor 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself  by Jesus Christ,
                  and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
              19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them;
                   and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
It does not mention Baptism Again Is God Word Wrong?
Propitiation
 1 John 2:1 ¶ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an
                      advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
                2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only,
                   but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
Advocate  == one who pleads another's case, as a lawyer.

Propitiation == to win or gain the good will of ; appease or conciliate.

This provide a sufficient ground upon which God in full harmony with His holiness is free to save even the chief of sinners.

This part of the Good News   that is the words for Gospel == Good News.

If one has no experienced a sense of relief that the sin problem has been solved ,

and responded with a sense of gratitude to God for His priceless Blessing.
Jesus saves to the uttermost.   God Is Holy. God is Great. What soever God doth he doth right.

God is a jealous God.
